Default booking shore excursions online

Hi there,

The Princess website says you can book shore excursions from 120 days before sailing. I've just tried to see what the choices are but it says they're unavailable - we sail in 105 days. Can anyone tell me is this is usual?

Thanks

Andrea

We just went on the Ruby Princess and I think it was 75 days out but I could be incorrect. Regardless, I messed up my online bookings and forgot 2 ports. We went to the tour desk the 2nd day when I noticed and had no problem booking them.

Yes it is usual. They opened for my Crown Princess (about 100 days) cruise much sooner than they did for my Caribbean Princess cruise (about 80 days).

It depends on the itinerary. On our Ruby TA this past April shore excursions didn't appear until about 45 days before the cruise. That was because it was the first European sailing of the season and not all excursion details had been finalized.
You can get a good idea of what's offered by looking at the excursions for the same itinerary on this past year's sailings. We did that and made a list of what we'd be interested in. When the excursions were finally posted we booked the ones we wanted.
