I am going to the Caribean via NY 10/24/09. Does anybody have any info to share about this cruise and the excursions? Any tips as far as being on the ship? Do's or Don't ? anyone going to be onboard? Thanks

My wife and I are on that one. It's our first time on Princess so can't give you and tips about the ship. Plan on having fun and have a positive attitude and everything will be fine.
I am not able to compare cruislines at this time since I've only been on Carnival so far, and have been very pleased with them. I'm going for my Platinum Status on Carnival and once I attain that I will probably try other cruise lines more often.
The Western Caribbean has been my favorite so far. I loved Belize and Isla Roataan and am going back again in March for my 45th Birthday on the Valor. I'm kinda leaning towards doing a Southern Caribbean next.

that is a really nice itineary. for excursions i would suggest while in Bermuda go to Horeshoe Beach - totally gorgeous, you don't need to book a ships excursion, use the mass transit in Bermuda it it top notch and fairly inexpensive
