Default Stateroom locations best for not feeling so much movement

HI all,
Can you tell me which location is the best for not feeling the ship's movement so much? Is it better the higher up you go? And is the forward and aft where you feel it the most? I noticed I felt the movement the most in the Princess theatre on the Sapphire, which is in the very front. Just got back... what a fun time!

Low and center have the least motion.Just like a roller coaster the movement is exaggerated at the ends and higher up.

Having said that. If you are cruising on a big ship they typically span several wave crests so you do not feel much motion unless you come into rough weather. If you get a little queasy try not to watch things like moving curtains

Green has given you the correct information. It is one of the reasons that the Medical facilities are, almost always, midship on a lower deck.

The size of today's vessels have made motion sickness less of a problem but if you are "extremely" susceptible to motion sickness, i.e. you get carsick easily, I would not worry too much.

Take care,
Mike

I usually book mid deck, and halfway up and halfway down and have always been fine, and have had no motion issues booking an aft baclony

The above posters are all correct. Also, if you have a choice of fore and aft, aft has the less motion.
