Luggage storage in Ft. Lauderdale
We will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale after a cruise. Our flight out is not till 7:30 at night. We don't want to take a Princess tour. We would like to explore the city on our own. Problem: where do we put our luggage? No place to leave it at the cruise ship, and can't check it in at the airport that early.

I am sure we are not the first people to have this problem. Does anyone have a solution??

Will you be renting a car to explore, if so, just carry it with you...Even a cab can manage the luggage while you drive around if there is no storage at the airport. May-be a past cruiser has stored luggage and can inform you about that.

There are 6 adults, so lots of luggage and people.

My first suggestion would be to rent a van that will hold all the luggage and all the people :)!

The only other idea I have is to book an inexpensive hotel room and leave your luggage there (or in the hotel's "luggage room".)

Have a wonderful cruise and a nice "day after" :D,

I read on another board that you can pay to have Princess bring your luggage to the Airport. I think it was like $20 per person to have them take it for you-only certain airlines though. You get the form one evening in your cabin. Or if your flying Southwest I hear they also have a program.

Hope this helps.

Earlier this month our friends had the Sky Cab hold their luggage while they toured. I don't know if there was a charge or they just tipped him.
