Default Princess for families?

We've cruised on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. My husband, son (13), and daughter (11) and myself are looking at a cruise on the Emerald Princess for this summer. The reviews look very nice. I just want to know if there will be enough for my kids to do. They loved the mini-golf and slide on our last cruise (Carnival Freedom). I'd like to hear from someone who has experience taking kids on a Princess cruise.

Princess is fine for kids. We took our teens and they had a blast. They spent alot of time in the arcade, on the basketball court, in the pool. Your younger one will probably still like the kids club and all its activities

We are also going on the Emerald this summer (Aug. 1)! Our girls are coming - they are much older now - 18 and 23 - but they had a great time 5 years ago on the Caribbean Princess. There will be a ton of other kids their age on the ship. They have an organized teen center, if your kids like organized activities. The pizza station and MUTS were their favorite places to hang out, but they also enjoyed the freedom of coming and going from their cabin on their own (with some supervision of course). Don't worry, they will find plenty to do.

Thanks for the replies. We've decided to go on the Carnival Dream instead.

My 12 year old son loves Princess--we've been on the Emerald and I'm drawing a blank on the other, it was much smaller. Lots of kids (we go during Christmas break mainly). Great kids program. What he particularly likes about Princess over other lines is that the pools are freshwater rather than salt water. The Emerald has movies at the pool, arcade, kids program, mini-golf, and tons to do.
