new to summer/fall cruising ??

We've never cruised in late summer so I'm wondering what generally happens with pricing. The price we see today for a 7 day western inside cabin is pretty good but I'm wondering if its likely for the price to go down because its not as popular a time to cruise. This trip will be an "extra" getaway so we want to go as inexpensive as possible so that we can splurge on a balcony in February. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you see a good price for the summer, book it...Usually, summer prices are higher, because so many families, teachers.etc. can only cruise then..Ton of of kids...many ares start school, in August....we don't here but, at the end of the month the ship could have less kids.

Prices in Sept/Oct..can be had sometimes at fire sale prices, due to this being hurricane season..I would say, the better pricing is for the fall season.
