Trying to decide if i should book the rail skagway thru the ship or when we get to town. Can anyone tell me how close the train is from the port? We have a party of 8 that wants to go together so what would you advise? Thanks so much for your input
The train is right next to the port. I tried booking it directly and they said I could only book through the cruiseline. The actual savings was only a few dollars, not sure I would want to wait until I got there, especially with the group you are going with. They reserve cars per cruiseline, best to pre-book it...
My wife and I booked ahead of time through the cruiseship for the bus/train trip. We first rode the tour bus to the Yukon and returned by train to Skagway. Great trip! This rates as a must in my book.
