Bathrobes

Hi All,

I'm starting to pack for my upcoming 5-1 cruise on the Sea Princess from Barbados - wooooohooooooooo. ok, I'm calming down.

This will be my 4th Princess cruise, but my first balcony on Princess. Can anyone tell me if they provide the terry bathrobes? I'd like to have the extra room in my bags for souvenirs.

Also, I was on the website for Bonair and noticed they have a "departure tax" that you have to pay before you leave the Island. Is this built into my cruise price? Or should I plan on bringing extra cash?

When I registered online with Princess for my last trip, I was able to request, and get, a robe in my cabin. It was there when I checked in. Yes, they were terry.

I booked online with Princess and all my 'taxes' were included. I hope that helps!

I believe that Princess offers terrycloth robes in all categories of cabins. If there is not one in your cabin when you first board be sure and ask your cabin steward. Requesting one on your on-line booking page is also a great idea.

We've had the waffle-weave robes in our balcony cabin (although we don't use them). I agree that you should request one on your preferences page. It sometimes takes until the evening to get one, as they have to be laundered after the last cruise.

I take a caftan that serves as a robe and covers me up enough to let Room Service in, go just outside the cabin or go a few steps to the self-serve laundry. It takes up hardly any room in my luggage. DH wears jersey shorts and a T-shirt or sweats. He packs for himself so I don't have to worry about how much room they take up!

Yes, the taxes are all included in the price of your cruise.

Are the robes "one size fits all"? Because I have used the robes on NCL in the spa before, and they didn't fit

NO ! We just got back from our first cruise on Princess. We joined the spa and they give you a rob every day. I'm 6'5" and I can assure you that they are not all the same size. The first day my robe was small. Second day I had a nice big one. Third day they had to look to find a big one and every day after that they had one put aside.

Yes, Princess definitely does provide robes in your cabin.
They are "standard size" but I'm sure you can request bigger, or smaller....

That's good to know - now I can bring more fun stuff home since I don't have to pack mine :-)

13 days and I'll be roasting on the deck of the Sea Princess on my first southern caribbean cruise, new ports, hot sun... I'm so ready!!!
