Default Princess Sanctuary

Hello...Looking for any info on the Sanctuary from past guests who have used it. I have heard from many that it looks nice, but is pricey. My group would like to book a couple days there for a nice treat on this vacation. I am looking for info on the menus, services offered, how quiet it really is etc. I believe it is $20 a day, so I think we are looking to book 2 or 3 days to spend some time up there. Thanks in advance!

We've been on several of the Princess ships with the Santuary -- they are not very widely used. I've never gone in but I have used a lounge chair just outside the gate and it wasn't that quiet. The pool just below had a machine for people to swim against the current and it was very noisy -- now if it bothered me outside the gate I'm sure people inside heard it as well. Maybe at the back end its quieter but close to the front it isn't especially if you have people using the machine all day.

I must say when people are not using that machine it is nice up there -- most people don't figure out how to get up there for a few days so it is nice and there are always lots of available chairs up at that level.

I saw some food being taken in that was presented very nicely but I'm not sure how it tasted.

Gee - I didn't realize the Sanctuary was an added expense. Carnival's new Serenity deck is no fee - or is this something more like the thermal suite?

The wife and I had a couples massage in the Sanctuary on the Emerald Princess. We purposely choose a day when the ship was in St. Marteen with the thought that it would not be crowded. We were correct. It was very nice. We plan to do it again on the Crown next March. Take the tour when you board the ship. It's very informative and the sales pitch is low-key.

On one of our recent Ruby cruises we were in the Lotus pool & there were quite a few people laughing & having a good time which I guess disturbed the people in the Sanctuary because they had to warn the people a number of times to pleas be quiet. It's to bad they can't enclose the Sanctuary portion to keep them segregated from the "regular crowd" who are only trying to have a good time.

Good Idea about taking the tour to check it out first. We have tours booked in all 4 ports, but plan to book the sea days at the Sanctuary. I assume it will be a bit more crowded. So excited....24 days to go!
