I was booked on the Sea Princess for tomorrow. It was the first leg (6 days) of a 21 day cruise. My TA called to say Princess had an offer of upgrading me to a mini-suite (and some nice OBC) on the Emerald sailing 5-9-10 if I wanted, which I gladly accepted. My guess is Princess had someone that wanted to book the entire 21 day itinary, and so my little 6 day piece was holding that up.
I've never been in a mini-suite or on the Emerald (but I heard it was a fab ship). Are the mini-suites much larger? Is there a seperate living room?
Also, has anyone sailed Mothers Day before? Wondering if there will be tons of kids.
I'll congratulate you, too! The Princess mini's are wonderful! You have a bathtub with a shower and two TV's. There's a nice sitting area (the sofa also opens to be a bed if needed). One TV is "aimed" at the beds, the other at the sitting area. We think Princess has the BEST mini's on the sea !
"A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour."
You are a big winner! My wife and I were in a mini-suite in March on the Emerald. The room is very large and the tub is a big plus! I was impressed enough to book a mini-suite on the Crown for next year.
