Caribbean Princess Questions
Anybody been on the Caribbean Princess lately? What is her overall condition and how worn are the cabins?

My wife suffers from asthma is there any trace of smoke ordor in the cabins?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Mike L, it's been a while since we've cruised on the Caribbean Princess, but when we did there was NO smoke odor in the cabins.

I hope y'all have a wonderful cruise!

CP is a great ship. Don't worry about the wear and tear it looks new. Smoking is smoking and unfortunately it depends on the week you sail. We've never been bothered but one might say we've been lucky.

We are only 15 days away from starting our cruise on the CP, and when we return I will try and let you know about conditions, thanks.

Hi Mike,

The CB isn't brand new. Any wear and tear was minimal. They keep things clean.

Starboard side is best for non-smokers. My cabin didn't have any odors. (port side)

Don't worry, you'll have a great cruise!

Caribbean Princess Diary
I loved Caribbean Princess! I had two cruises in May and June 2010, both were great. Check out my Caribbean Princess diary here

I've been on the Caribbean Princess twice, and she's still my favourite ship of all. I never noticed any smoky odour in the cabins, and believe me, I would notice!
Have a great cruise!

We returned home on 9/28/2010 from the CP and she was very clean and very smoke free. It was our first time on the CP and it won't be our last. Have a great cruise.

Smoke problems in the hallway can be varied according to if you have to pass a smokers cabins. All the cabins vent to the hallway & that's used as an air return so if you're located between a few smokers cabins & the return duct it might be more noticeable. Walking down any the halls I quickly remember where to hold my breath until we're past them.

I just got off the CB on Sunday. Only the Casino had a distinct smoke smell because two days out of seven, they have smokers' day. My inside cabin on Aloha starboard had no smoke smell, nor did the hallway.

When will you be sailing on the CB? You may have noticed that some responders call her CP and others CB. She is called CB because another ship the Crown Princess holds title to the name CP. The CB is my absolute favorite ship. Sailed on her three times. The only place I smelled smoke was in the casino. There are a few "smoke free" nights there.
