Thinking of trying a Princess cruise (Ruby). Seeing some videos, we have noticed closets in the rooms being open to the room without doors.
Is this how all of the Princess rooms are? If we want to invite friends back to our room, I don't want them to see the mess in the closet. Can someone comment on this? If this is true, I cannot imagine what Princess was thinking.

IT actually works out just fine, how much can you bring anyway...They have shelves for all your folding items and space to have hanging items, never really looked bad and so easy to find things. I wouldn't worry about, they are all the same.
No need to worry. There is plenty of room for storage without creating a mess. Even if there were a mess, it's conveniently located to the left when you open the door and would not be the first thing you see when you enter the room. So invite your friends without shame.
The floor plans make the closets look pretty tiny - tell me this is an optical illusion, please.

Depending on the ship, and where your luggage is stored..sometimes under the bed, totally unzipped or standing...partially unzipped, once you wear an item, if you know you won't be wearing it again, just put it back in the suitcase, so, as the days go by, space opens up...
Trip, with her book & tea!

The closest space is more than adequate. We were thrilled with the storage space in our room and the fact that there was more than enough room for all of our hang up items. Much more than what we have had on some previous cruises.
