I'm thinking about booking for 2011 or 2012, but I'm wondering if anyone has any hints or tips about the best time to see Russia, is there an off season that may be cheaper? Also, I'm not sure how much extra time I should plan on pre / post cruise. I know Princess sails there, but does RC or Carny? Is it better to book well in advance or wait and see if last minute is cheaper?
I usually don't book my air through the cruise line, but I'm thinking it may be the way to go on this?
Sorry, I don't know anything about Russian cruises , but, according to my TA, the new Princess EZ Air (I think that's what it's called) is a good idea. You get a choice of flights (not a 3 stop, way out of the way flight ) and if you miss the ship because of a flight you booked through them, they'll get you to the ship ASAP.
I'd love to hear from anyone who's done the EZ Air!
