Default Princess comment cards gone missing.

Does anyone know why Princess has eliminated the comment cards they once gave out at the end of the cruise? They seem to have replaced them with a hit or miss emailing to only certain individuals and there is no way of requesting one to be mailed out.

NCL has also gone over to the email/online post-cruise survey. I actually like it. I can do my comments when I get home instead of doing it, and everything else, on the last day. I know there have a been a couple of times that I've got home and realized I never put the survey in the box.

Take care,
Mike

They make sure you can leave positive comments about a crew member while on board - and even provide the the form early so it doesn't have to be last minute.

My comments usually exceed the space allowed on those little forms anyway -

Saving the costs of printing the cards, is a wsie move...Also, doing it at home, having time to think about it, post cruise, and having the space, as mentioned, to fill it out leisurely is a good thing.Sometimes trying to fill it out and get it to the box, with everything going on the last day, can be a pain..

I once won a Cross pen and pencil set, at the drawing RCI had for a random drawing...

I don't have a problem with doing it online from home which would be great - My gripe is that they don't email everyone a survey to fill out. Only select individuals receive them. How this can be constructive criticism for a cruise line is beyond me.

Rich - it is statistical sampling kind of like Gallup - they may not get everyone's opinions but hope to get a representative sampling.

We've been on 3 cruises since last October and received a survey after each one. I thought everyone got them.

If the ships leave full there is no reason to read opinions and comments.

Princess and some other lines want to:

-Save a few trees
-Save a few dollars in printing costs
-Prevent their hotel managers from destroying the poor ratings/comments to protect their jobs
-Avoid the current 30% of handwritten comments that are completely illegible and useless to them. Forcing you to type comments they can actually read is far more productive.
-Have you enjoying your cruise and d spending more money instead of filling out forms.

I think Bruce's third "option" is the real one... .

Saving a tree is good, too !

E-mail is the way to go. You save some trees and cost, and you are not rushed.
