Default Convince Me...to book Princess

My husband and I have cruised many times, and have tried most cruise lines.
We are presently researching a special one to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and weighing the pros and cons of Princess vs other lines.
If Princess is your favourite line, convince me why we should book them again...

Hi Rollerdonna, We love Princess Cruise Lines, because it's the little things that make the difference, the greeting from your state room steward, your waiter at dinner, the bar tender that remembers your name and your drink.
I also think the crew is well trained and dedicated to taking care of your request no matter how small.
There is also the great ports of call, that will leave everlasting memories. A ship with all those great possibilities makes the perfect getaway. Happy 10th anniversary.

Default alaska cruise tour

We just got back from a tour on the Coral Princess--had a great time, good food and wonderful sights.Glacier Bay, and College Fjord were ship highlights,Skagway's train to the Yukon was a port must. The land tour was also grand with Denali's Tundra Tour the absolute best.Loved the laundromat on the ship--saved taking a lot of clothing.

Hi Donna and James

Princess would be a perfect cruise line to take to celebrate your 10th. They'll make it special what with the balloons on your cabin door and the special cake just for you two in the dining room (but only if you want it).

Then there's the fresh water pools (believe the only line that has them).

And - the very friendly crew in all departments - as mentioned earlier, they remember who you are and go out of their way to fulfill your requests.

Very good food (with a great selection of alternates you can have any night if you don't want the main selection ... like shrimp cocktail, caesar salad, fettuccini alfredo, New York strip) ... scrumptious desserts ... unusual soups - like pina coloda cold soup. Great pizza, hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, etc.

Wheelhouse on sea days has British pub fare for lunch ... yuuuumm!

Traditional dining (early and late) or Anytime ... and a couple of specialty restaurants.

And, then there's trivia - morning, afternoon and evening (I make the first two but am eating during the last one). The prizes in April were special lanyards in the AM and royal blue ball points in the afternoon ... plus some others (I won 5 on my 7 day cruise). Things you can't buy in the shops. And, if you note my cruise clocks at the bottom here and your anniversary coincides, then maybe we could play together again!!!

If this would be your 6th Princess cruise, you'd be Platinum and get priority boarding and FREE internet.

So why don't you come and join me!!!

Jane

Donna, i think that you and James should try the smaller ships this time for your special occassion cruise, the Sun Class ships (Dawn Sea, Sun Princess), you sailed on one of the Grand Class ships before if i recall. The smaller ships are more intimate, more of those great Princess small touches that make her so special. If you book a balcony cabin you could spoil yourselves with the white glove balcony dining experience

I'm a big Princess fan, love the Horizon Court for every meal, including dinner, nice selection, never too crowded, etc....They also have the self service laundry rooms and the fresh water pools, whats not to like...

We love Princess (I know, BIG surprise!)! The cabin's are very comfortable, there are many choice's for dining (some pay, some not) and the MDR food is very good. The shore excursions are (to us) reasonably priced.

The crew on all of our Princess cruise's were happy and that made US happy! (Crooner's Bar is wonderful! "Hic" )

The laundry rooms and the buffet are great!

There has always seemed to be a good mix of ages on our Princess cruise's. The "Kid's Club" seems very popular!

We find the Princess ship's a very good "fit" for us. So much so that our next two cruise's are on Princess . Join us!

Kind of the same question....convince me to book Princess. Background....have cruised Carnival (Conquest) and RCL (Liberty of the Seas). Enjoyed both. Tried to book Oasis (RCL) and Dream (Carnival) for a Christmas cruise to celebrate my 24 year old son's college graduation with him. Princess caught my eye because of the lack of pricing "game playing" by both Carnical and RCL.

Princess (specifically Ruby and Caribbean) worhtwhile for a 55 year old with his 24 year old son?

Thanks!

graphicguy, absoutley give Princess a try, i think(hope) that you and your son will have a lot of fun and be pleasantly surprised by the attention given to you by the staff, the food is very good, lots of activities both day and night, you will find a varied mix of ages and backgrounds. Its kinda hard to explain until you have tried Princess but there is just a little something about Princess thats puts it just above Carnival and RCL in my opinion, i guess its the little things that add up to make the Princess experience

Easy and quick embark, disembark, and muster drills (inside).

Default You'll LOVE Princess....

We like the newer, bigger ships and just love the Princess line!

ALOT of entertainment every evening.....grand production shows in their beautiful theater; piano music, singers, comedians, theme nights w/the cruise staff, casino games! Champagne waterfall, captains cocktail party, dance clubs, karoke, etc. You will NOT have enought time in the day to see and do it all. Spa services, MUTS, etc, etc. See if you can find a "Princess Patter"....their daily newsletter of events.

LOTS of great food. The dining rooms or buffet for 3 meals a day, speciality restaurants(small charge), international cafe, tapas bar, afternoon ice cream, afternoon tea, afternoon cookies and cold milk, pizza, brats, burgers, chicken, fries. AND, always a decent buffet before bedtime .... not to mention room service.

I am sure I have left somethings out, but these are just the ideas that came to me 'off the cuff'! AND, all for a decent price. Go ahead, book and enjoy. We have stayed in inside, outside cabins most of the time. We did book a balcony once....had to actually take the time to go sit out on it!! So much to do!
