Does anyone know what movies the Ruby Princess will be showing in Oct?
Will be on the repositioning cruise from Venice, Italy to Ft. Lauderdale for 17 days and was wondering. How are the movies under the stars, before I have always seen them in a small theater aboard or on the tv in the room. Can you see and hear them good. I understand they have sports and concerts on the screen during the days...can you see those under the bright sun?
Thanks in advance.
You should receive an e-mail from Princess shortly before your cruise that will give you some of the movies that will be shown. We were aboard Ruby during the World Cup. They showed US, England and Italy matches. The movies will be similar to those that will be "new" on premium TV channels or seen on airplanes.
All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; John Masefield
Carnival: Glory 2004, Destiny 2008, Splendor 2009, Freedom 2011, Valor 2012, Dream 2013
Celebrity: Summit 2011
Princess: Ruby 2010, 2014, Caribbean 2013, Coral 2014, Regal 2014
Star Clippers: Royal Clipper 2015
You can see and hear the movies or shows just fine at night and during the day. The movies are listed in the Princess Patter when you board the ship, don't know of any other way to find out ahead of time. They also served cookies and milk near the end of the movie when we were on the Ruby Princess last December.

I'm not a big fan of MUTS but the movies they do show are usually older. Occasionally they offer one that hasn't hit DVD yet but they tend to stick with the better older ones over & over. I'm hoping like yourself they have a few newer movies in Oct like Robin Hood.
I'm only watching older movies on DVD lately since we're going in mid Oct & I want to see a few on the ship's larger screen. Of course I'm assuming that all the ones being shown are already out on DVD....we'll see.
