what is the deposit and how does it work

I don't remember the specifics, but yes. Ruby had a future cruise specialist aboard. I believe the deposit was $100 for an unspecified reservations with OBC variable based on the booking. I don't know if a higher deposit was required if you booked a specific cruise.

Yep, they still offer them. They're a great deal. $100 us per person and there's no further deposit needed as long as it's not a world cruise. Great OBC when using a Future Cruise Credit.

The FCC's bought on board offer a nice OBC for your next trip. Priced at $100 each they can be held for 4 years & are non transferable so you should purchase them in pairs.
They sometimes (rare) have specials on board where they double the FCC cabin credit but although even though I have booked on board (and then transferred the booking to a TA) you can sometime do as well booking form home.

I've done that and will be using it for our cruise coming up in Dec. My question is when will it be credit it to my account. Iv'e paid all but the $100.00 on my cruise and I've mailed in the coupon in June and my payment in full it due on the 27 Sep. As of the 21 Sep the money had not be credited to my acct and shows that I still owe $100.00. Should I be worried or not. mmm

The FCC should have been presented when you first booked the cruise. It acts as your deposit so if your account is still showing you owe $100 you probably do.

For some reason the dollar amounts are messed up. The FCC on board credit should be
For 7-9 days $25 P/P for inside, $50 P/P Outside
For 10-15 days $75 P/P for inside, $100 P/P for outside
16 + days $125 P/P inside and $150 P/P outside.

Princess still offers future cruises . Both as on board cruise purchase or

future cruise deposits. You get an OBC as well , it depends on the type of

cabin and length of cruise . It varies from $25 USD to $125 USD.

Yes they do. Just returned home on 9/28/2010 and put in for a future cruise credit which is good for 4 years.
