Default Suites with Windows

A lot of the larger ships now have full suites that have no balconies - just large windows. Has anyone stayed in one of these - what can you tell me about them. Was the extra room worth giving up the balcony?

They added several 'Window Suites' on the Grand Princess during her recent drydock. They are directly across from the casino! I personally don't see the attraction but to each his own. I don't think I could do without a balcony.

I can't imagine paying for a suite and not having a balcony, not for me either.

I haven't had one but friends had a Celebrity Suite on Millennium and they loved it. It was a Caribbean itinerary and they said they never missed the balcony because of the huge windows.

They were also upgraded from a Cat 2 balcony cabin so the lack of a balcony was easy to take.

Depending on the itinerary I would consider it if the size and amenities were good.

Take care,
Mike
