I am looking to take a ten day land & sea cruise to Alaska in Aug, can some one tell me If there is a extra charge for the stay at the Denali lodge, or is the cruise & land tour all one price.

In general the cruise/tour is priced as a package. However just as there extras on the ship, there are also extras on the tour portion. Be sure to check the meal provisions. On the tour portion most of your meals will be extra. In some cases it is possible to purchase a meal package at an additional price.

We took a 7 day land and a 7 day cruise vacation from HAL .The Denali Lodge was included in the cost .

It depends on the specific tour. A short tour to Denali might have no included meals. A longer tour might have meals included especially in places that have little choice.

At Denali there are a number of excellent choices for excursions including meals such as the CabinNight Dinner and the Covered Wagon Breakfast. There is a good coffee shop at the Lodge and also an upscale restaurant. Within a block are numerous places from fancy to Wendy's to hot dogs.

In addition there is sometimes an option to purchase an extra charge meal voucher package.

Check your tour description carefully, it will specify exactly what is included and what is not.

On our tour meals on the land portion were not included .However ,we did get snacks .

The more expensive Princess "Connosseur" Alaska Cruise Tours include meals.
