Default Ruby Princess - anyone been on her lately?

Just booked Ruby Princess for March Break, wondering what you can tell me about the ship, food, entertainment, etc. Who is the CD? Did they have a sailaway party? Any info appreciated.

Hi...we just returned from the Ruby on 1/15. It is a BEAUTIFUL ship. No complaints whatsoever about that. Our cruise director (mediocre) as well as the commodore is leaving the ship in mid-February. Therefore, things may be different with the new cd. There were several "parties" throughout the cruise - one on deck, one with the champagne waterfall, one with throwing streamers in the piazza, etc. Food was very good and diverse in my opinion.

Just returned on Jan 15th from cruise on the Ruby to Eastern Caribbean. As it was my second cruise on the Ruby (the first in Oct 2010 from Venice Italy to Ft Lauderdale), it will rank as one of my favorite ships. The food was very good but was not impressed by the Cruise Director this time. This cruise was only a 7 day cruise verses a 17 day on the other cruise so not as much to do. There were the usual Triva Games which were great and a 1950's sock hop that was FANTASTIC!!! There was a sail away party on deck and all the other similar things. It is a great ship and all the staff is friendly and knowlegable. You will enjoy!!!
