Any Cruisemates booked for the maiden transatlantic from Venice to Ft. Lauderdale October 9, 2013?

That cruise is actually going to be a CruiseMates Group Cruise. We are just getting the details sorted out before posting the announcement.

That's GREAT! Hope you and your lovely wife will be hosting. We thoroughly enjoyed the Get Lei'd cruise with you and the other Cruisemates.

We're booked already. Can't wait.

We're booked too! 568 days until we cruise. Time is going to dragggggggg by. Maybe I'll speed it up by pulling out our suitcases and practice packing. I'm sure DH will be doing major eye-rolls over this suggestion. :p

OMG, love it :). The ship looks amazing, can't wait to sail her.

This will be our first trip to Europe and first transatlantic....and on a beautiful new ship. Can't get much better than that! Well....I guess it would be even better if I could speak a little Italian. I only know one word...."Gelato".

Not to be a damper, but is anyone worried about rough seas sailing the Atlantic in October?

I wouldn't say I'm worried, but I've thought about it. I've done enough Pacific cruises to know it can get rough.

You are braver than I am!! But of course, I wish you all SMOOTH SAILING!!!

I've done the fall transatlantic sailing several times. Of course, a storm can happen, but just like in the Caribbean, they know and do what they can to adjust their directions to avoid them.

On the ones we've done, we've perhaps been very lucky, and had smooth smooth seas. Once it was like a bathtub all the way across.

Coming across, you also have the bonus of 25 hr days during the crossing :)

Already booked . The only fly in the ointment will be the cost of air fare from the west coast.:cool:
