Princess Karaoke ?

Does this line have a great Karaoke scene ? September will be my first time on Princess after going on Carnival several times.
All right, I admit it....I get a bit silly at times. It is all those great people having a ball that gets me like that.

I am headed on my first Princess Cruise as well so I can't help answer your question, but I know what you mean!

On all my prior cruises I have been found at the Karaoke place almost every night! I just love hearing the ones who sing well, and the ones who wish they could sing well! Both are entertaining, and I won't disclose which category I fall into...

Hopefully someone can tell us what we can expect on Princess!

Oh yes, Princess has a Karaoke scene. It will differ depending on which ship.

But,now, a GREAT karaoke scene? HMMM. Depends on your definition, I guess. You would think out of 2000 passengers there would be a few who are better than that? :D

Karaoke is indeed active on Princess - or at least it was on our last cruise two years ago on the Emerald. It was actually entitled "Princess Idol", a competition lasting through the entire cruise. I believe the first few nights, new finalists were chosen each evening, with the finals at the end of the cruise. Our daughter was tied with another in the finals. She didn't win, but had a lot of fun. There were really good singers and others not so much, but the audience was supportive of everybody. There was also a "live" karaoke on a couple of nights - not a competition - just an opportunity get up and sing with a live band. Our daughter did this, as well, and got some great feedback from the band members. :)

thanks everyone for responding. No, I can't sing very well but I do enjoy giving it a try. When I say great karaoke, I mean it is available most days, not just once or twice. Hopefully everyone who wants to get up there will get a chance and not get culled out by the "talent" technicality.
