back to back on Royal Princess
Couple questions. This is our 1st time sailing with Princess. We have booked a back to back on the Royal Princess for the 5 day & 7 day Eastern Caribbean Maiden Voyages out of FLL this fall.

Was wondering if we have to leave the ship in between cruises? The first cruise we have a gty balcony and the second cruise we have an assigned deluxe balcony.

Would it be better to upgrade to mini suites so we can have the same cabin for both cruises or leave it the way it is and get a couples massage?

This is our 25th wedding anniversay and we hope it will be relaxing and enjoyable not hectic or chaotic. :)

Thanks for any advice.

You have 2 options.

1. You can disembark last with everyone else who is doing B2B, go through customs saying you have nothing to declare, and get back on the ship. It shouldn't take more than 30mins. Usually they will have a small spread with coffee/tea/pastries while you wait to go.

2. You can get off when you want and spend the day in port, visit a beach/shop/whatever. Must be back on 90 minutes prior to departure time.

As for moving cabins I'd say it depends on if you spread out a lot in the cabin or just take a shirt out of the suitcase when you need it. If you change rooms you will need to repack so the steward can move your luggage. If the cost is small I'd upgrade and stay in the same room. One less hassle to worry about.

Thank you for the help. I think we will leave the cabins the way they are since to get the same cabin would increase the rates substantually (1,000+) and make use of the spa while onboard :)
