For our 45th anniversary, my wife and I will be taking the Panama Canal cruise on Oct. 10. We would like some advice on what would be the "must take" excursions.
This is my second cruise. My first was the western Caribbean. My wife has taken a couple more with her friends.
On my cruise I felt it was necessary to schedule an excursion at every port. I found many were (as my wife keeps reminding me) a waste of money. I did enjoy swimming with the sting ray's and climbing Dunn's River falls.
I'd like to be a little more selective this time around. I know I must do something at the canal and am leaning toward the Rainforest & Gatun Lake and Locks Cruise. Good choice or not?
Also has anyone taken the Sea Trek Coral Canyon Helmet Dive at the Cayman's? It looks like fun, but the difficulty level is listed as "strenuous". I don't have any physical disabilities, but I'm no kid anymore. How bad is it?
Any others to put on my list?
