Regal Princess Godmother? a POLL

We had the lovely Princess Kate for Royal Princess - how can you top that? You don't.

But let's take a poll and see who should be the godmother for Regal Princess.

Now just for accuracy, the first "godmother" for the floating out of Regal Princess was my colleague Carolyn Spencer Brown of Cruise Critic. (aka CSB)

So - let's take a poll and see who the godmother of Regal Princess should be...

Meryl Streep. The only one that could replace Maggie as the original Regal Princess' Godmother

How about the lady who wrote Mary Poppins - wait, she's Australian.

I would have included The Queen, she did name two Cunard Ships. But that is the obvious (and hopeful) choice, so I thought I would shake it up a little bit.

Protocol probably will mean Camilla gets the honor. Now, if Prince Harry married his GF then things would be different.

Actually I'd be fine with CSB getting the title.

I was a bit surprised last week when I was aboard Serenade Of The Seas and discovered that Whoopie Goldberg was the ship's godmother.

Why were you surprised. I have seen a lot of celebrity Godmoms.

There's Sophia Loren (and did I mention Sophia Loren? she has done quite a few), Rosie O'Donnell, The Olsen twins, Kate & Tristan (The Bachelorette marriage couple), and a LOT more I don't remember now.

Since Kate has had the honor before, my choice of the ficticious Lady Mary from Downton Abbey, would surely happen before Megan Fox;) lol

It didn't seem like something Whoopie Goldberg would want to do. Having groups of women now is getting fashionable. I think it was Allure Of The Seas that had several women athletes from the Olympics. Then Norwegian Breakaway had the Rockettes, and now the Getaway will have the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders. Of course the latter two groups are constantly changing so does that mean that a cheerleader or rockette in 2018 can say she is a godmother of the Breakaway or Getaway?
