Default Southampton Cruise Terminal / Alcohol / Princess

We're going on the Royal Princes transatlantic cruise from Southampton to New York in two weeks. Most cruises do not allow alcohol to be brought on board in your luggage. On Carnival, in Barcelona, they encouraged you to bring it on in Barcelona for transatlantic sailings. But, you never saw that in in writing. It was understood that it was okay. Plus, there were duty free shops in the Barcelona cruise terminal with liquor being sold. We have done this twice. It was great! We were wondering if Princess allows it on their transatlantic sailings. Does anyone know or have experience with this subject? Thanks!

Hi there, Princess don't seem too worried about alcohol in the UK as long as it isn't a crazy amount which means you could be drinking excessively and outside of their control. What they have done ONCE on our cruises was to take the bottles & give you a ticket, then you collect them again the day before debarking.
Hope that help,
Alan.
