I just popped on the Radisson homepage to discovered that the Diamond isn't cruising to the Mediterranean til late summer. We had a cruise from Athens to Rome planned in June. With the unrest, I am not surprised. Has anyone heard word from Radisson on this?
Contact your TA. I have a fall Med cruise on Voyager but am now adding Diamond in Caribbean 24 May.

Yes, that's right. Radisson deployed the Diamond to the Caribbean for April 23 through July 26 sailings. She departs for the Transatlantic voyage on August 2. Of course, the way things are who know by then if there will be any more changes!
Radisson has also implemented some great features on the new Caribbean sailings, referring to them as "WOW" features. One of them is that the Diamond will truly be an all-inclusive ship....ALL drinks including Alcoholic beverages will be included throughout the ship! It's a great deal. You can read about it by clicking on the Luxury Cruise Center button or word link on the Cruise Bazaar page under Luxury Cruises.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to email me if I can be of any further help.
The all-inclusive does sound tempting, but as I am strawberry blonde, blue eyed and burn easily, the Caribbean doesn't sound like my kind of place for June and July. I am not much of a beach bunny!!! Thanks, though.
As a native of the UK I am surprised that companies are making these changes. The Med. is generally as safe a place to travel as anywhere and the people of Istanbul are friendly, helpful and in need of the business. Moves such as those employed by many american companies after 9/11 only contributed to making the Caribbean a more crowded place than it already was and resulted in the giving of huge discounts. Any views on this please?

Radisson is, so far, maintaining stops in Turkey. When I was onboard a couple of weeks ago, I specifically asked about Turkey. Response from home office is that they have no plans to cancel Turkey. Of course, if something should happen in the future, all bets are off.
