Anyone thinking of going to the Baltics on the Aug. 27th Radisson Voyager? We booked and wold like to share our tours with others who would like to use Red October Tours in St. Petersburg. Also, Radisson is offering a 3 day pre cruise in Moscow. We will be doing that also. Would like to hear from others who have done the Baltics. It will be our first time there. Judy D.; Las Vegas
We did the 8/19 Voyager 12-day cruise this year. Marvelous! A trip of a lifetime. You won't be disappointed. We hear great things about Red October. If you use them, and if you plan to get a personal visa, BE CERTAIN that Red October issues your visa sponsor letter. We spent the extra bucks and secured a private car for one of our three days in St. Pete. (We used the Voyager's agency, Baltic Travel.) We regretted not doing so for two of our three days. On our third day, we took advantage of our personal visas and struck out on our own. That day was a treasure. It helped that my partner speaks a bit of Russian. While I'm sure the Moscow pre-package is frightfully expensive, it should like a fabulous option, one we would have seriously considered had it been offered this year.
Still looking for others to share the Red October tours we booked for Aug 29 & 30th St. Pete's. The Moscow pre cruise is now 4 nights at the National Hotel. Voyager leaves Stockholm Aug. 27th. E-mail me is interested! Sailed on this ship last fall from Venice. What a wonderful experience. Radisson has the BEST food and cabins. No charge for wine and fully stocked bars in cabins. No tipping! Free water and soft drinks. In the end is less than the mega lines.
I saw your post from quite a while back. My husband and I will be on the Voyager Aug 27 sailing. We are interested in using Red October for a tour or two in St Petersburg. What tours have you booked with them? Can you give me some of the details about how many people would be on each tour and what the cost would be. This should be a lovely cruise.
e-mail me @ Judyumcer@aol.com Would like to have others join us. Be sure to read commments and experiences of othrs that have used Red October on this site; look under Europe. Or Cruisecritic.com message boards or www.luxurycruisetalk.com
There is a 41 page report on Cruisecritic.com titled Constellation Cruise Review- Baltic Capitals. It is the entire trip June 5 - 25 2003. It is a wonderful and detailed report. You might have to go back a bit to find it. Look under message boards; ports and then "Baltics". Enjoy
