I will be booking the Sept. 10 cruise out of Rome on the Diamond.....any suggestions or comments from those that have sailed this ship?
especially for the pre cruise in Rome....any things to look out for or avoid?
Diamond is a wonderful ship. We sailed her in Caribbean last year and will be sailing her this year Athens to Istanbul. Last year, we did a precruise in Rome. Recommend at least 3 or 4 days. If you like personallized walking tours, I would strongly recommend Scala Reale at www.scalareale.org. They do walking tours of 2-4 hours for no more than six people. They were fantastic. By the way, in Rome, there is nothing I would avoid...fantastic city. Just be careful of your wallet and don't flash the jewelry.
