Default Seven Seas Mariner: Alaska to Vancouver

My wife and I have been off the ship exactly two weeks now, and we still miss it. The trip was fantastic. We had so much fun we have tentatively booked going on the Mariner to the Caribean this coming April!

The ship was everything we heard from those on this board. From the moment we were greeted as we came on board to the minute we reluctantly left we were treated magnificently. The food was excellent with something different each night. The only one who would not have that diverse a menu would be if you are vegetarian. We met another couple on board who were, and they said the menu did not change that much day to day.

As for activities, the ones on board were nice. My wife and I went to the art lectures during the week where I learned some interesting things. The entertainment, for the most part, was quite good.

We did have one or two minor complaints. The ship only seemed to go all out and get the passengers invloved only one night. We felt they could have done more to invlove the passengers. If you were someone used to staying up late, there was not much to do after 10:30 or so. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

The staff were wonderful. After we arrived on board the ship, I discovered I forgot to bring a tie. The ship does not sell any on board, and the Captains dinner was the night we were at sea. One of the crew was nice enough to go to his cabin and loan me his extra tie! This cruise we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. When our steward found out, she made up the room with towels in the shape of swans as a heart. My wife also needed something one late night, and the steward went out of her way to help us.

All in all a wonderful experience, one we will never forget. Our thanks to those who gave us insights into the Regents cruise experience, as well as information on excursions.

Mark:

Thank you for posting this and I am happy to hear that the crew went the extra bit to help you out and to make your anniversary a bit more special.

Take care,
Mike
