I see that "Tauck Cruising" offers small ship as well as river cruising trips... looks interesting, has anyone travelled with this company before? I’ve seen some pretty good things about them online.

We've sold several of them to clients who have come back and told us how absolutely wonderful they are! Based on their feedback and our personal experience with most of the river cruise companies, personally I would rank them at the top of the list. They are a luxury-class, so prices will be a bit higher than a few others that are very good, but not up to their level. However, as with ocean cruises, you definitely get what you pay for. So if luxury is in your budget, you will not be disappointed in Tauck.
