Al,
Did you get a pic with Voyager and Zaandam together in Grand Cayman? Just wondering how the size varies?? Nice pic by the way.

You can't get a picture of the Voyager at Cayman because it doesn't stop there, it only goes to the ports that are trashed out.

In actuality I could have photographed the Voyager at Grand Cayman on Thursday as she made a brief stop there (reportedly to pick up a VIP). However, could not have photographed both of them together. This was early in the AM. Zaandam had diverted back to Grand Cayman to avoid nasty weather of Debbie.

The Voyager is going to add Cayman to their list of stops I think next year. If they do, they should bag the stop in Jamaica and/or Cozumel. Cayman is by far the nicest stop between the four stops she will be making.

Hi Will,
Definately agree with you, loved Grand Cayman. We actually spent 5 days there a few years ago and it was great, couple rainy days, but overall a nice friendly island, hardly any crime, didn't care for Jamaica too much. Will be cruising on
Explorer next year and I like that itinary much better :-)

Grand Cayman is the best of the stops. It's a good thing Voyager is going to stop there in the future. I went in the coolest antique shop right off the pier in Cayman - bought a couple of very nice, antique compasses. Note that this island is very, very clean which means that the habitants don't dump their trash or let it wash in to the ocean.

Hi Will,
For some reason they had to make a stop there last week, as you can see someone from another ship took the pic. I heard it was to pick up some VIP or something.

Will,

The secret to Jamaica is to take a shore excursion from the ship. In Ocho Rios, the excursion to Prospect Plantation and Dunn's River Falls is wonderful -- and do bring along a pair of SurfWalkers (available in most sporting goods stores) to climb the falls!

There's no need to "punt" either stop from the itinerary to add Grand Cayman, as there's plenty of time to stop in Grand Cayman during the existing transit from Ocho Rios so Cozumel. They will just have the engine room put on a few extra turns at night.

Norm.
