Me too. I'm going on the Grandeur Dec. 16 I got a good deal on a cat. c cabin. $1299 per adult and $199 per kid. I'm going diving at each island, and the wife and kids will have to amuse themselves. There are lots of beaches and it will be warm, in contrast to Oregon in December.

What would be good for the wife and kids to do while I dive?

Bruce,
You'll be doing the southern caribbean, right? Did the same itinary last year on
Rhapsody and it was super. There are tons of things for the wife and kids to
do while you dive, no problem. Have a great time, hear the ship is just wonderful.
YOu can catch a review here if interested:

The itinary will be different, but you can get a feel of the ship, enjoy.

Cheri, We sailed her in 1998 and liked her so much we sailed her again in 1999. Wonderful ship of mega variety. I attached a photo of her anchored off Labadee Haiti.

George, Thanks for the cat C photo. After I booked the cabin, I realized that a balcony will be great for drying my dive gear. Better than the tub/shower. I can't wait to dive the warm water of the caribbean. I live in Oregon, where the water isn't warm.

Bruce You are more than welcome. The water in the Caribbean is indeed great to swim and dive in. I have some wonderful beaches not all that far from me that I haven't gone swimming in for years, just nohting like that crystal clear green and blue water of the Caribbean.

Have a great cruise

Graduer is a great ship, you'll have a good time. Royal always seems to provide an outstanding cruise vacation. The ship is very elegant and I would go on it again.

Enjoy.

We are taking our teenagers along. They want to know about the activities for them and if the arcade is any good. They have cruised before and had a great time. Thanks

Cheri, when are you going on the Grandeur? We'll be going Dec. 16 and it sure would be nice to meet someone onboard that we knew, at least my e-mail.

I was on the Grandeur on the Sept 2-9 Eastern Caribbean Sailing. It is a beautiful ship. Just too many kids everywhere!! I don't know what type of kids program that ship had but apparently it doesn't hold their interests because they were EVERYWHERE!!!

You got it! We're going with 2 other couples and we were kinda, sorta, hoping to avoid the Spring Break crowd. You can e-mail me after we get back and I'll be more than happy to answer all of your questions. Rick
