Hi I am going on the Explorer of the Seas in Jan and I was wondering if anyone had any recomendations on what to do in the Ports of Call....or if they heard people on the ship talking about what was interesting in each city...my boyfrined and I want to plan our activities but we hve no clue where to start! Thanks! We are cruising Jan 6-13 and are a both 22 and from Cal...if anyone else is crusing then let me know!
They don't really mention much on shore excersions, but you should get a list of them with your docs in the near future. We're booked on Explorer for April and have been checking into a dolphin swim in Nassau. You can book this on your own, if you're interested, just e-mail me and I can give you some information.
If you like to snorkel, best bet is to take the Red Hook ferry from St. Thomas over to St. Johns and snorkel over at Trunk bay, very easy to do on your own. There are plenty of taxis to take you over to the beaches. As for San Juan, you can just walk around Old San Juan, visit some neat forts near-by or go out to the rain forest. Just a few ideas. Have heard many wonderful things about this ship,
can't wait to go myself.
