Leaving soon..anyone else?

We are leaving on Jan 14th on the Voyager. Anyone else? Also, if anyone has taken their kids and can give me more specific info on how the kids programs are run, could you post that information. We have taken two Disney cruises with our boys(ages 5 and 11) so are used to awesome programs for them. Thanks!

I did find some information about the kids programs on Voyager and Explorer, sounds like the kids will have a ball! Hope you and the whole family has a great time. We're booked on Explorer for April 21st and can't wait, have fun!

Children's Facilities:
With the diversions that abound on Voyager and Explorer, you may wonder what else kids could possibly need on these ship. But Royal Caribbean "Adventure Ocean" youth programs offers plenty. The youth activities manager tells an assembled group of enthusiastic youngsters: "We're trained to party, stay up late and eat pizza with you." Yaaaaay! Designed for four separate age groups, the youth program makes these ships an excellent choice for families with children. Children's programs are segregated by age: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 and 13-17. Teens will find their own private coffee house and disco.



Offered for children aged three to 17, Adventure Ocean is open 9:00 a.m. to noon; 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7 to 10:00 p.m. during days at sea. In port, it is open during the morning and evening hours. Group baby sitting is offered from 10 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. for children three and above; there is a $4 per child charge. In cabin baby sitting may be booked during the cruise for children at least a year old; rates are $8 per hour for one or who children.

We took our then 8 yr. old on Voyager last April and are sailing 4/21 (w/ Donna!) on Explorer. This was our sons 3rd cruise (Sun Princess and Carnival Destiny). While we can't compare it w/ Disney, I'm sure you'll be very pleased w/ what Voyager has to offer. Each age group (2-5, 6-8, 9-12 and teens) has their own play area w/ experienced camp counselors (Cool Cat Cameron was Andrew's favorite). They had excellent activities which ran the gamit from games, arts and crafts to being herded to different areas of the ship for some fun excursions.

We took walkie talkies w/ us which proved useful and fun. Andrew had to call us every so often to tell us how much fun he was having. Although, if your in the casino or another noisy place, it's hard to hear and therefore have to leave the room.

I'm sure you and your kids will be pleasantly surprised. It's an awsome ship!!!
