I am sailing on Rhapsody of the Seas Feb. 25, 2001. I want to know if anyone has taken their own wine on board. The RRCL web site said you can not bring on your own wine. However, many personal comments by past passengers indicate that they did take their own wine. Does anyone know? If you can take your own wine, what is the corkage fee? I have sailed with Celebrity several times and never had a problem. Anyone have a comment on Rhapsody? Thanks
You can take the liquor onboard with you, if you want to drink it at dinner they may charge you eight bucks for an opening fee. They will allow you to purchase and take it back to your cabin. I just got off Explorer, that was the rule for us.
If you bring on board a wine that they carry on the ship (you would only know that by checking the wine list), they will probably not charge you a fee. If you bring a wine to the dining room that is not on their wine list, they will know that you did not get it on the ship and will charge you a corkage fee. The fee may only be $6-8. however I have seen more if it is an expensive bottle of wine. Enjoy your cruise!!
