table size on Explorer

Does anyone know if you can get a table for 12 in the dining room on the Explorer? We are a group of families traveling together and would like a table for 12. Thanks , Kathy

Unfortunately, no. We also have 12 on Explorer in April. We opted for a table of 8 and 4 with each of us switching tables each night. We will still have the same waiter of course. You can go 6 and 6 also. The largest they have will seat 8. We had 6 and 6 last year on Voyager which worked out o.k. When are you sailing? Denise :-)

Denise, you already know what table you have an eight and a four? I thought you could request a large or small but do not know until you get on the ship if it was granted.

Yes... Our group coordinator asked what table size we wanted. I asked for 10/2 and was told "sorry, can't do that". So we opted for the 8/4. You can even request which dining room you want. They tell you the dining room you get isn't always what you ask for, but we've been lucky I guess as we have always found our wishes granted. If you don't get the dining room you want you can find the Maiter D (he will be at a designated location when you get on the ship for table changes and such) and ask to change your table.

59 days to Explorer.... :-))) Denise
