Just returned from an 11-night cruise aboard the Vision. Loved the Mango Tango cocktails served at the pool bar but can't seem to find a recipe anywhere, even in RCCL's cocktail recipe book.
I do have the "Ocean Potions" recipes by RCCL, but in the book the drink is called Mango Cooler. Would this be one and the same? If so, it's as follows:
1oz dark rum; 3/4 oz triple sec; 2oz mango juice; 1oz sweetened lime juice.
Garnish w/ cherry and orange and serve in a poco grande glass.
Thanks, Denise, but that's not it. We had a mango cooler and it resembles KoolAid. The Mango Tango is more a sluch/frozen-type of drink. White in the bottom, likley contains coconut cream or milk, with mango "slush" on top. One person suggested that it MAY be two drinks combined - a pina colada-type drink on the bottom and a blended Mango cooler-type on top. It WAS seved in a nice big poco grande glass, though.
I even e-mailed RCCL and they couldn't come up with a recipe. They said that sometimes the bartenders make up their own recipes and, of course, they don't have those.
My last shot is a contact who is now on the VoS. He will try to weezle the recipe out of the bartender.
All this for a simple cocktail. <g>
Cheers...and thanks again.

Hi Gerry,
Seems to me they were serving those "mango Tango's" on Coco Cay?? I do remember having a few, they really hit the spot on the beach :-) Sorry, but don't have the recipe. Think I'll look around when on Explorer next month.

Has anyone found or figured out the recipe?
Cheers!

Just was wondering if you found the recipe for this drink. Went on a cruise this past summer and was my favorite drink. Please share if you got the recipe.
