Anyone recently back from Nassau and do the America's cup Regatta offered through Royal Caribbean? Just wondered if its the same one as the one in St. Maarten?? As good, bad?? Any comments are welcome.
FYI, this is from a 10-23-00 post on cruise critic web site:
"For anyone sailing Eastern to ST.Maarten and Nassau...There is now an America's Cup Sailing excursion in Nassau that is not listed in RCCL brochures. It is on the ship when you sign up for excursions. TAKE NASSAU NOT ST. MAARTEN !!!!!!St.Maarten uses older 12meter boats and costs 74.00pp. Nassau has 20 meter 1992 boats and only costs 47.50pp. Did both last week and thought Nassau also more professional.."
I don't think this pricing info is right (or at least current)-- the RCI web site lists the price at $89 but thought you might be interested in the evaluation.
Thanks for the America's Cup information. I first found it on the RCCL excersion site and haven't heard of anyone doing it in Nassau. I did try to book it on-line, but it won't let me until April, cruising on 4-21, so will do after reading the post you sent, thanks. Yes, the price on the site is $89, so wonder what it really is?? I'm actually thinking that may be right, since the one in St. Maarten is 74, will find out soon enough, thanks again!
