Default Debarkation in Civitavecchia

We are on the Grandeur of the Seas in August and the debarkation is in Civitavecchia beginning at 8:00 am. Our flight leaves Rome (2 hr. drive?) at 1:20 that afternoon. Is this a potential problem or does RCI take this into consideration and issue early debarkation tags. I wouldn't be concerned except for the fact that the airport is so far away from the port. Anyone know the procedures on how to get to Rome asap upon docking at Civitavecchia? Thanks!

I am sure RCCL must take that into consideration. It is about 1 1/2 hours to the city. If they let you off before 9, you should be OK.

We disembarked there, same time, but on HAL. We arrived at the airport before 10:30. It really isn't far.
