Default British Isles/ Norwegian Fiords - Legend of Seas ?

Is anyone out there familiar with Legend of the
Seas, or any other RCCL ship, itinerary of the
British Isles / Norwegian Fiords? We're going in
June / July and can't find any online reviews.

We'd love to hear from anyone about anything,
especially excursions!

Thanks!!
Lisa

My husband and I are going on the June 24 Legend of the Seas to the Northern Europe trip. We are really looking forward to it. The excursions are on the RCCL website and you can print them out to review. We are going on the Paris Tour and Canal Lunch Cruise, the Blarney Caslte and the Flam Railway tour as well as the canal tour in Amsterdam. RCCL cruises are great. We went to Alaska last year on the Rhapsody - sister ship to the Legend - and it was a beautiful ship. I hear even better things about the Legend. I can't wait to go.

Hi Lisa,

Legend of the Seas is a beautiful ship. You won't be disappointed. We sailed on her Alaska route 3 years ago. We did the British Isles/Norwegian Fjords trip on Splendour of the Seas 2 years ago and it was spectacular!!! All of the ports are interesting and there's lots to do. There are no words to describe the beauty of Norway - it takes your breath away. Even though we missed stopping in Amsterdam because of bad weather conditions the whole cruise was out of this world.

In Flam, Norway the 7 hour bus and Flam railway combination (Overland to Voss, Tvinde and Stalheim) is spectaclar and well-worth the money for the scenery that you see and the experience of riding the Flam railway. Bergen, Norway is beautiful and easy to get around on your own. The ship docks close to everything so if you choose to walk around rather than take a tour you can see quite a bit on your own. The half day tour in Scotland that went to Luss, Loch Lomond and into the highlands was really beautiful also. We took the shuttle bus into Dublin and walked around on our own to see the sights. We went on the half-day tour to Blarney Castle and the woolen mills when we docked at Cobh, Ireland. We were very happy with the few tours that we took. Enjoy your cruise. You'll love it!

Shari :-)

We are going in July. This will be our third time on Legend. It is a beautiful ship.

What tours do you recommend for Plymouth? Also, what about LeHavre? We have been to Paris and would like to see some charming towns.

Shari- We are wondering about the Scotland stop. Did anyone that you know of go to
Edinburgh? It seems like a long drive on the map and I am wondering if we should just
forget it this time. Quite a few people in our group are thinking of doing that, but the
cruise shore excursion gives you very little time in Edinburgh. What are your thoughts on
that? We thought we could hire a private taxi to do what you did. Thanks for any more
info you can give us. Mary
