Gretting from Hotel to ship

I am sailing on the explorer of the seas on July 14th.... We are flying down to Miami on friday night.... we are staying by the airport and need transportation from the hotel to the ship on sat. morning does anyone know what we should do?? Also when we return on the 21st how do we get from the ship to the airport?? thanks

Hi T bone,
We were not able to fly in a day ahead of time, like you, but you can either get the RCCL transfers or just cab it. If you get the transfers, they will also work on the return trip back to the airport and you can check in your luggage right at the pier before boarding the busses to the airport. Its only about a 20 minute ride to the Miami airport from the pier, so even if you hire a cab, the cost shouldn't be too much. Have Fun!

We just got back off the EOS.. I rented a car when we arrived a day early and took a taxi back to the airport after the cruise. It was $5.00 pp on the return to the airport....

I cant put into words how incredible this ship is.....!!!

So glad you thought Explorer was increadable, we did too, like no other cruising expierence to date. Lets see some of you pics?? I just can't seem to get enough of them. How did you like Labadee and what all did you do there?? Hope you did the waverunner tour, it was a gas. Take care,

Check with your hotel to see if they have free shuttle service to the port. Most have shuttle service both from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to your ship. We have sailed the Voyager and Explorer and both times we used the hotel shuttle service to get from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port. Upon return, we took a taxi. The cost from the ship to the airport is $18.00 regardless of whether there are two or four of you. Even if you take a taxi to the ship from your hotel and then from the ship to the airport, it is still cheaper than the RCI transfers. The taxi is much more convenient as well. Once we got off the ship we immediately got a taxi and were on our way. The people with transfers had to wait until their bus was full and baggage loaded. You'll be glad you didn't buy the RCI transfers once you find out how easy using the taxis and shuttles are! Have fun. We loved our cruises. You were smart to go down a day before. No stress as you don't have to worry about missing flights and the ship!
