Default Radiance of the Seas: E3 mid ship

I have read, that E3 midship balcony cabins on the Radiance of the Seas, the view a little obstructed due to an overhand above the life boats. I need more information. I am booked in an E3 mid ship cabin (7088). Do I need to ask for another cabin? Are the cabins more towards the front or back (E3 deck 7) have a less obstructed view.

Thanks,
Cheryl

Cheryl,
Yes, the life boats are below you. We were in 7154 and if you look at a deck plan, the balcony looks bigger. Thats the way they actually are. The last cabin or two have a restricted view aft but the balcony's are huge in that section.

Sailed in April just two cabins closer to mid-ship than your 7088. We were on the radius section which had larger balconies. Noise from the 4th deck bar is excessive and may bother you. Attached photo shows your cabin and the 6th deck lifeboat cover which blocks the downward views at deck 7.

Dear Jim,
We will be in 7038 in September. It appears to have the larger balcony like yours. We weren't too worried about the lifeboat cover. We figured we'd do more looking out than down. 8 weeks to go!

Thanks for your replies :-) Dan, thanks for the view. Is the downward view only obstructed at mid ship?

The obstruction at deck seven is approximately the middle 50% of the ships length. True mid-ship, starboard side only, does not have the obstruction at all.

You will enjoy the ship................lots and lots of wood.

Thanks Dan, I will have to check and see if 7088 is on the starboard side.
Can you tell that I am a first time cruise! () :-)
