I am planning on traveling on her sister ship 2003 january. Plan on getting a e2 catagory on deck 7 but i have read that there is a problem with life boats in line of view. What would be a good balcony cabin e2? I also understand that the brilliance should be same design as radiance just diffrent decorating. Need to book soon Need cruise bad cruise help me feeeel sooooo gooood Thanks
I have just returned from the 8/25-9/1 Alaska excursion on Radience. We were in 8042 (E2 Category) and from what I could see, deck 7 had a bigger balcony than decks 10, 9 and 8, the lifeboats were directly underneath and not that much of a visual hinderance. Plus, you would mostly be looking outward toward the horizon and not downward toward the water.
I just got off the Radiance last Saturday. We had Cabin 8086 which was in the bulge area of the ship next to the elevators. The balcony was about twice as big as others due to the bulge. The deck 7 cabins will have the lifeboats directly beneath you so you won't sea the water at the bottom of the ship but otherwise the view will be fine. Deck six holds the Casino and a number of bars but I don't know if you can hear any noise from there on deck 7.
