Default Disembarkation on Explorer or other Miami port shi

I need to try and make a 12:40 p.m. flight from Ft. Lauderdale after disembarking from Explorer on January 26. Has anyone recently returned from Miami port and successfully done around this time? What is security like at Miami port now and what has anyone's recent experience been with disembarkation.

Thanks!

I disembarked on 9/29/01. Security was very tight, did not get off the ship till around noon, but i would imagine things will get faster once all the personell get use to the new security procedures.

We also disembarked the EXPLORER on September 29th and got off the ship around 11 am. The explanation the crew gave for the delay was the heavy rainfall
Miami experienced in the 3 days prior to the 29th causing the luggage handlers
a problem in transferring the luggage from the ship to the pier. All in all, our cruise on the Explorer was fantastic. Increased security gave us additional reassurances that we would be safe and we were! GOD BLESS AMERICA and all those who believe. Happy cruising! Looking to book another one real soon.

I disembarked Sept. 22, had a 11:20am flight, and made it with 2 hours to spare. They even hand searched our luggage. Plenty of time.
