Default 10/27 Explorer sailing-2 questions

We're sailing on Explorer on 10/27. 2 questions if anyone could help: Will we make an 11 AM flight at Miami the day of disembark.? I drink a lot of bottled water. Is it expensive to purchase on the ship? Thanks a lot.

I just got off the Explorer yesterday. Sorry to say I didn't note the cost of bottled water, but it's safe to say it's more expensive than gasoline ..

Making an 11 AM flight could be very tricky. The week we boarded the ship, customs delayed clearing the ship, and the first group wasn't even off the ship until 10 AM.
Yesterday things went more smoothly, and we were amongst the first group of just after 8 AM. However, time spent finding and gathering your luggage, getting to the airport, and the new delays for tighted security made for some long lineups at the airport.
U might make your flight, but be prepared to have to deal with some juggling, just in case.
Regards,
Kuki

Jan,

If I remember correctly the little bottle of water in the honor bar in the room was $3.00. Outrageous to say the least. There is no bottled water available in the Logo store, however you can buy it in port and bring it aboard, only liquor is confiscated.

Bottled water goes for 2 or 3 dollars a bottle onboard. An alternative is to have your own bottle filled at various water stations by the attendants in the cafeteria. Also just came back from Explorer and disembarkation was pretty rough. The delay was pretty significant and some people ahead of us were upset because they couldn't make their flights. If you have only carry on luggage you can ask them to let you leave earlier rather than waiting for your color.

We always bring a case of 16oz. water bottles in a separate suitcase. We then use the extra space for souveniers. Try it....
