Disembarkation Time

We are going on our forth cruise in January. We have always gotten off the boat and to the airport in Fort Lauderdale in time to make an 11:00am flight. Our return flight is booked as 11:25am. Will we have time to make it, or should we consider changing it to a later flight? Would like to hear from folks who have just been through disembarkation with RCI and how long it took.
Thanks for any replies.

Re: Disembarkation Time

Hi Malcolm.
Under the current circumstances, with heightened security, I would recommend changing to a later flight.
I came off the Explorer of the Seas this past weekend, and they started letting people off the ship by about 8:15. However, the previous week debarkation was held up by customs until after 10.

Add to that, the longer lines at check in and security checks at the airport, and you may be hardpressed to get to your gate in time.

Regards,
Kuki

Malcolm,
You 'might' make it, but it is doubtful with all the new security checks being made. To be on the safe side I would not book any flight out that leaves earlier than say 1PM.
