Default Boarding time for Voyager

Just received my tickets for our New Year's cruise on Voyager. Yipee!!! :-)

Cabin location looks ok.

In the letter, which came with the tickets, it says that boarding time is from 2 PM to 4 PM. I read many reports from people who were on the ship by 11 AM, if they arrived early.

Since we stay in a hotel right next to the port, we could be there early too. But if they won't let us board before 2 PM, I won't bother.

Has anyone been on a recent cruise with RCI out of Miami and could tell me more?

Thanks!

The latest we've ever gotten on the ship was 12:30 and that was because we arrived later than usual. Since 9/11 however, the embarkation process is a bit longer. Even allowing the extra time, you should be able to get on by noon. I'd head down to the port around 10:00 to beat the crowd.

Have fun!... Denise :-)

I've always been able to board before the posted time :-) Usually I try to get there to eat lunch and get the lay of the ship.

cheers & have a good time!

We went on Voyager in July. We stayed at the Marriott---We headed to the port at 10 Am and were on the ship by 11:15!!!! It is very nice to get on the ship that early. Take care of dining etc.... Speaking of which--you can go directly to the dining room and see your table and possibly switch if u don't like.

Have fun---that ship is AWESOME--we are going on the Explorer in March.

We're staying at the Marriot in March the night prior to sailing aboard Grandeur. How'd you like it? Did you have a view of the port? We've never stayed in Miami the night before and are looking forward to it.

Thanks... Denise :-)

I just got off the Voyager 11/25. Since I live here in Florida I used the Cruise Connection bus service and we arrived at the port about 10:30am. After a fairly simply process we were on the ship by 11:30 My room wasn't ready but we had lunch in the Windjammer and checked out the WHOLE ship. Enjoy.
