Monarch--go from inside guar. K to outside?

We booked guarantee K inside (highest inside, I think) for the 12/1 sailing, and still do not have our cabin assignment. Has anyone been upgraded from inside to outside on a similar guarantee? (Since it appears from the cruise boards that we will be alone on the ship, thought it might be possible... ;-)

We'll be perfectly content if not, just curious. Thanks!

It's possible, but not likely. Typically upgrades only occur from inside to better inside or outside to better outside.

I booked an inside once and upgraded dockside very reasonably to and outside. That is another option. Ask pier side.

Time answered my question. We just got our cabin--upgraded from K inside guar to F outside, obstructed view, deck 8 (mariner).

It is the first cabin forward of the midship elevators, starboard. Should be a great location overall, but wondering if we'll get much elevator and foot traffic noise? Can anyone help?
