Default Return flight from Orlando

My sister and I are sailing on the Sovereign of the Seas on February 28th. We have booked our own airfare and wanted to do RCL transfers to and from the ship. However, RCL won't guarantee a transfer for a return flight before noon. My sisters flight leaves at 11:25. Will we make it? Any suggestions on what to do? How long does it take to get to and from the airport? Any help would be appreciated.

Rachel

Hi Rachel,
You may want to check and see if "super shuttle" can take you:

Good luck and enjoy the cruise!

Rachel,

When we went on the Radiance, the people that took the transfers were in a line a mile long waiting to get on the buses. We were last off the ship because we had a late flight and we still beat almost everyone that took the transfer. Best bet take a taxi, even if it means carrying your bags a little further, you will be happy to get off the ship and pass up that line, plus (in PR anyway) there were several baggage people willing to take your bags and show you to a taxi. Another advantage..since you beat all those people you get in a much shorter line at the airport too!

We sailed on SOS over the Thanksgiving weekend. We booked our own air, but bought RCCL transfers to/from the airport. We got off the ship relatively early (I think they were debarking passengers from starting from the top deck and working their way down - we were on deck 9) got on the bus and checked in at the airport around 10:15 - 10:30 (Continental had an express check-in on the lower level). However, after checking in, there was approximately a 30 - 40 minute line to go through security. We got to the gate a little after 11:00.
